TwoSelves

Privacy Policy

Effective June 23, 2026

TwoSelves is built as a local-first focus tool. The app does not require an account. TwoSelves does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data off your device. Focus data is stored locally on your device.

Information Stored on Your Device

TwoSelves stores app data locally on your device so the app can create and enforce focus boundaries. This may include:

  • Your selected apps to block during focus sessions.
  • Your lock schedules, session times, and focus history.
  • Your preferences, including theme and onboarding state.
  • Basic local analytics, such as reclaimed focus time and recent screen-time summaries.
  • Optional focus resource content saved for display in the app.

How TwoSelves Uses Android Permissions

TwoSelves asks for sensitive Android access only when it is needed to make focus blocks work.

  • Usage Access helps TwoSelves understand recent app usage and identify apps you may want to hold aside.
  • Accessibility / App Blocking is used to detect when a selected blocked app is opened during an active focus session and route you back to TwoSelves.
  • Notifications are used to show active lock status and focus-session updates.
  • Startup and system-change access helps restore scheduled protections after reboot, time changes, timezone changes, or app changes.

What TwoSelves Does Not Do

TwoSelves does not use App Blocking or accessibility access to read your messages, passwords, payment information, typed text, private content, photos, contacts, or conversations inside other apps.

Network Access and External Links

TwoSelves may use internet access to load optional focus resources, images, or external links. Opening an external link may share information with your browser, Amazon, or the destination website under their own privacy policies. TwoSelves does not send your schedules, selected apps, usage stats, or focus history to those sites.

Sharing and Selling Data

TwoSelves does not sell personal information. TwoSelves does not collect or share your local app data with advertisers, analytics providers, data brokers, or other third parties.

Device Backup

Depending on your Android and Google backup settings, your device may back up app data outside of TwoSelves. You can manage device backup behavior in your Android settings.

Deleting Your Data

You can delete locally stored TwoSelves data by uninstalling the app or by clearing app storage in Android settings.

Children's Privacy

TwoSelves is suitable for general audiences. The app does not require an account and does not knowingly collect, transmit, sell, or share personal information from children or adults.
